HEAT METER INFORMATION
In order to be eligible to have a heat meter; at least 75% of your home must be wired with permanently installed electric heat and be the homes' primary heat source. The heat meter must be located outside of the home. There is a $25.00 charge for Lacreek to install the equipment. Call our office for further information to start saving during the heat season.
All electric heat homes that have a separately metered electric heat meter, receive a 2.0 cents credit on every kilowatt hour used for heat during the heat season which is from October through April.
If you have a separate breaker for your heat meter, please remember to turn it on. In addition, you will need to read your heat meter each month unless you have a special "twac" meter which is automatically read via office technology.
